Some of the best books have already been loved once
There's something special about finding a book that's already been part of someone else's story—underlined passages, a handwritten inscription from a loved one, the cracked spine of a book that's been read vover and over. Our Secondhand English Book Swap lets you trade three pre-loved English books in good condition for a new-to-you read from our swap shelves. It's one of our favorite ways to help great books keep finding new readers while creating a more sustainable way for readers to access them.
How does it work?
Every time you bring in an eligible book, you'll receive a stamp on your punch card. Once you've collected three stamps, you can choose any secondhand book from our swap shelves to take home. Don't find a book that interests you that day? No problem, save your card for your next visit. We don't keep a record of punch cards, so be sure to keep yours somewhere safe!
Don't have any books to swap? That's okay too. All of our secondhand books are also available to purchase for €5.
What kind of books can I bring in?
Our swap shelves are dedicated to English-language books only, helping give them a second life within Seville's reading community. If you're looking for secondhand books in Spanish, we're always happy to recommend some of our favourite secondhand bookshops.
To keep our secondhand collection carefully curated for our readers, we can't accept reference books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, cookbooks, guidebooks, activity books, or coffee table books. We also ask that books are in good, almost-new condition. Our booksellers reserve the right to decide whether a book is suitable for the swap. Thanks for understanding!
